DOminiC PlamOndOn

Raised in the hamlet of Plamondon, Alberta, Dominic Plamondon has been surrounded by music all his life. Passionate about various styles, he is an active musician and plays genres including folk, country, rock, metal, classical, and jazz. 

His journey began with his father playing the fiddle, an instrument passed through over 6 generations.  He has studied with Daniel Gervais for over 10 years, obtaining his level 6 in the Conservatory Canada repertoire and met fiddlers such as Brianna Lizotte and Camp Calvin. He later had the opportunity to perform at the Jubilee Auditorium next to Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy. 

Dominic's French-Canadian roots brought him to perform for various events, such as a battle of the bands called La Chicane, encouraging his growth. His experiences in music led to a love for performance, songwriting, and wanting to pursue this as his career. As of June 2024, Dominic has graduated from MacEwan University with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Performance.

Currently based in Edmonton, Dominic is a violinist and an aspiring vocalist. He offers musical workshops for schools and organizations. He is pursuing a career focused on performance, recording, composition, arranging, film-scoring and songwriting.

Provenant du village de Plamondon en Alberta, Dominic a été entouré de musique toute sa vie. Il est un musicien passioné de plusieurs styles, tel que folk, le country, le rock, le metal, le classique, et le jazz. 

Son trajet a commencé avec son père qui jouait du violon, un instrument passé entre plus de 6 générations. Dominic as étudier avec Daniel Gervais pour plus de 10 années, lui permettant d'obtenir le niveau 6 au Conservatoire Canadien et de rencontrer plusieurs violoneux tel que Brianna Lizotte et Calvin Volrath. Il as eu la chance de faire une performance au Jubilee Auditorium à côté de Natalie MacMaster et Donnell Leahy.

Grâce à ses origines Franco-Canadiennes, Dominic as eu l'opportunité de participer des événements tel que La Chicane et le support de la communauté francophone, encourageant son dévélopment. Ces expèriences ont dévélopper une passion pour performer, l'écriture de chansons, et de poursuivre un carrière musicale. En 2024, Dominic est gradué de l'université de MacEwan avec un bacalaureat en music, avec une majeure en performance.

Situé à Edmonton, Dominic est un violioniste proffesionel et vocaliste en herbe. Il offre des formations pour les écoles et pour les organizations. Il poursuit une carrière en performance, enregistrement, composition, d'arrangement, et d'écriture.
