Dominic Plamondon is a violinist based in Edmonton pursuing a love for performing,
writing, and recording music. From his roots in Plamondon to his bachelor's of music
from MacEwan University, he's dedicated himself to a variety of genres, including
folklore, country, rock, metal, classical, and jazz.
Currently based in Edmonton, Dominic is a violinist and vocalist. He offers musical workshops and performances for schools, festivals, and organizations. He is pursuing a career focused on performance, recording, composition, arranging, film-scoring and songwriting.
Recently, he has released his debut album “Sharing Stars.” A collection of original music and songs belonging to his family’s musical heritage. The album features a traditional fiddle style, as exemplified by songs such as “Le Ruisseau” and “Northern Lights Polka”, as well as modern styles such as country in “Echo (feat. Crystal Plamondon)” or folk rock with “Torchbearer.” The record was recorded and produced with Calvin Vollrath and Jeremy Rusu.
